Kermanshah’s Earthquake
A devastating earthquake with a magnitude of 7.3 shook Kermanshah and caused over 600 deaths and more than 8000 injuries. It has been described as “the deadliest earthquake of 2017”. The center of the quake was Dashte Zahab.
As hopeless as it may seem, together, we can help the victims of this grave tragedy to cope a little easier with their challenges. Andishkade, a non-profit organization, plans to build a very needed day care in Dashte Zahab.
To accomplish this mission, Andishkade is giving a total of 2000 books (Farsi) to those who donate $25.00, or more.
Andishkade completed the project by helping out families who lost their breadwinner in this disaster, women who would be mother, guardian, and breadwinner as well!
Children are the most vulnerable of the survivors since they are the least equipped to deal with natural disasters; so, our focus is to provide comfort, safety and care for them.
Please refer to the Persian page for the report. Final report in English will be available soon.
We thank you for helping the children of Kermanshah.
